  Welcome!

The first recorded Australian baseball match was played on February 21st, 1857, between Collingwood and Richmond, at the Exhibition Grounds in Melbourne.

Nearly 150 years later, it is enjoyed by tens of thousands of Australians, young & old, male & female, summer & winter.

Background ...

This team was selected over a gruelling six-week trial period earlier in the year, and was in training since April. It represented NSWJBL as the only Australian team that competed in the IBA World Series in Japan in late July 2007.

They'll then come home and enjoy a fortnight's "rest" before playing in the Pan Pacific tournament.
