The first recorded Australian baseball match was played on February 21st, 1857, between Collingwood and Richmond, at the Exhibition Grounds in Melbourne.

Nearly 150 years later, it is enjoyed by tens of thousands of Australians, young & old, male & female, summer & winter.

Sadly, we have no details of the roster for this squad. It gets worse:- they won the tournament.

Pool Games
  • vs Sydney, Saturday @ 2:30pm ... Japan wins 3-1
  • vs NSWJBL World Series Team, Saturday @ 6:30pm ... Japan wins 2-1
  • vs NSWJBL U/15 Team, Sunday @ 9am...  Japan wins 2-0
  • vs Sydney, Sunday @ 5pm ... Japan wins 6-1
Group Stage
  • The Japan team qualified in 1st place in Pool A
  • vs the NSWJBL U/16 team, they won 3:2, which meant they were seeded 1st for the Finals
Medal Games
  • Seeded 1st, this team played the Chinese Taipei team and won 1:0.
  • vs the NSWJBL U/15 team in the Gold Medal game, they won convincingly 7:0.
  • Tournament result: 1st place, and undefeated. Congratulations to a deserving winner !
